3 reasons why you should become a Soulfuls member

1. To see true diversity across all industries, at all levels
11% of Denmark’s population are of foreign origin, 58% of which are from a country considered “non-western”. But is this represented in companies, the arts and the media? No. Should that stop us from trying to change that? Still no!

2. To achieve gender equality (no, we haven’t achieved that – yet!)
We need equity to achieve equality. And right now, the world is not an equal place.
Let’s look at some numbers from a 2020 McKinsey report on Women in the Workplace.
44% of men are managers, compared to 38% of women. Out of these women, only 12% are women of colour.
These stats get a lot more depressing at the C-suite level (CEOs and the like). 66% of C-suite positions were held by men last year. 21% were held by women. Nope, that’s not an April Fools joke. That’s the sad truth.
We want a future that is free, fair, and inclusive.
Fair representation, fair chances and fair expectations for all women and girls. That’s why our membership programme includes a series of ‘How To’ workshops to give you a headstart in life.
It may not be an equal playing field yet, but together we can change that.
3. To spotlight genuinely representative role models
We now know just how beneficial role models are to women.
Research published in a Forbes article shows that role models have an amplified benefit for women due to the gender biases and negative stereotypes we have long had to grapple with across all professional sectors.
Basically, seeing is believing.
And we want to see more representative role models – women who come from different backgrounds, women who aren’t ‘perfect’, women who look different to ourselves.
